Home to the largest fresh water swimming beach in Seattle, Matthews Beach is a wonderful residential neighborhood along the shores of Lake Washington from Paisley Drive NE and NE 95th to NE 120th with 35th Ave NE forming the west boundary. Main north/south arterials are Sand Point Way & 35th, with 95th & NE 110th allowing east/west transport.
John Rogers Elementary School serves the primary school population. Meadowbrook Pond, the hidden gem of the Seattle park system, is just across 35th from the Meadowbrook Community Center.
The 64 & 65 busses get commuters between Lake City and downtown or the UW along 35th while the 75 follows scenic Sandpoint Way to connect to the Northgate shopping district, Lake City or the UW.
Bikers will prefer the Burke Gilman Trail with stunning views of the Lake Washington shoreline and smooth access to the UW from Matthews Beach Park.
