One of Seattle’s most vibrant neighborhoods, Wallingford stretches from the shores of Lake Union to N 50th St and from I-5 to Aurora.
The heart of Wallingford is N 45th St & Wallingford Ave N where the old Interlake Elementary School has been converted into the Wallingford Center with a variety of shops and restaurants, although N 45th is a wonderful arterial chock full of neighborhood shopping, a plethora of culinary choices and two small cinemas.
Parks include Gasworks on the shores of Lake Union and Meridian Park on the grounds of the old Good Shepherd Center off N 50th between Meridian and Sunnyside. The Burke Gilman trail traverses Wallingford in the North Lake area and Green Lake and the Woodland Park Zoo are within walking distance to the north and northwest.
Schools include Lincoln High School, Hamilton International Middle School, John Stanford International Elementary School and other private or parochial schools.
